Cheltenham United Methodist Church History

Cheltenham United Methodist Church has a long spiritual history.
Formerly Westwood Methodist Episcopal Church, the church was established in 1873, under the oak trees that still stand in our driveway.

Our historical marker was erected in 1978 by Prince George’s County Historical Society.

This link will take you to the Selby Family Tree with photos of the church cemetary, and some background on a family historically tied to the area. Thanks to Karen for sharing her research!
